I have 20 questions....

Hello I am Kelli

My 20 things I am curious about in my professional life are as follows, I am at a stage in my life where I want to start slowing down and passing the paton in my profession.  I want to ensure that the youth are being "loved" and "cherished" for who they are when they are engaged at programs:

1. Why don't we have a bigger space so we can serve our community in a more productively?

2. Why do we only have one van that sits 13 for transportation.

3. Why is it so hard for YDP to understand how to engage with children?

4.  Why is funding so hard to acquire but everyone wants to "help the kids"

5.  How can we include more multi language youth and help make them inclusive in more things?

6.  Why do we not have access to translation services that are funded by government?

7. How can we (the club) become more "seen" in my community?

8. Do I have a life insurance policy, the handbook says I do but do I?

9. If there is no human resources, who is human resources?

10. How can we train YDP to do the job with more enthusiasm?

11. How to build quality staff when every few years your position depends on grant funds?

12. Are we really doing what we are proposing we do, improve other's lives?

13.  Do others feel supported in their community?

14. How can we become a village that raises all families in East Providence?

15.  What an I going to do once I receive my MA in YDEV?

16.  What position would I want if I could choose one at  my job?

17.  Why are things so unorganized and last minute at work?

18.  How can you be inclusive to neurodiverse children if you are not trained and staffed?

19. Who can provide a steady dependable base grant for our nonprofit and then we add on other grants to supplement the guaranteed grant received each year.

20.  Can I retire soon?

I was singing 21 questions by 50 cent all while typing this take a listen: 21 questions - 50 cent

  1. Kelli, it's admirable to want to empower the next generation to lead, and to want to leave a place better than you found it. I like your vision of a supportive village of all EP families.

  2. So many of us are wondering about the tension between what everone says they want for kids and what the institutoins make impossible for us and your people. I am going to write my own questions now and I think this is also my theme.
